Corrie MacDonald is a visionary Design Lead with over 25 years of global experience, specialising in lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear
Corrie is currently based in Dusseldorf, Germany. She has established herself as a leading Designer and Design Manager working with top International companies. Her unique talent enables her to combine her European sense of design with her extensive knowledge of the Asian consumers tastes, body shapes & quality preferences to produce perfectly designed garments to the highest quality levels which fit perfectly.
Corrie graduated with Merit from the London College of Fashion & won the Jarvis Gold Medal for the best results in Clothing Management in the UK. After a 6 month internship at a top Indian fashion House in New Delhi she won the Mitsumine Scholarship to go to Japan & work for a top Japanese retailer as a Ladieswear Buyer. During this time she gained valuable experience & contacts in the industry & was involved in the planning & opening of new retail stores in Japan.
After 2 years she decided to change to something more creative & on the more intimate side of fashion and moved to Triumph International as a Designer & Brand Manager for lingerie.
Throughout her 19 year career with Triumph Corrie was responsible for design & development at all market levels from young fashion brands for Retail & Chain Stores to high end lines for Department Stores, gaining a broad experience and was ultimately responsible for the design & management of 5 of Triumph's main brands.
A new job opportunity with the German brand Schiesser in Asia led her to Shanghai in 2011 where she spent 2 years as Design Director for Ladies Lingerie & Loungewear leading a team of designers and helped to strengthen the brand throughout China, creating new & innovative designs, a new shop concept & a new & unified brand image.
Inspired by the creativity of her new home Shanghai, Corrie began to work as a Consultant for Design, Product Development and Production for overseas and local brands for Lingerie, Swimwear and Nightwear.
More recently Corrie was working for a leading high street brand in Europe. Based in Germany leading a team of 10 + designers inspiring and motivating to develop exciting & innovative commercial products which communicate the brand vision.
Now Corrie is looking for new challenges leveraging her talent for design and extensive commercial experience.
